Every year in Tameside & Glossop over 1200 people are diagnosed with cancer and over 8000 people are living with cancer. Many people affected by cancer attend the hospital but are unaware of the information and support available to them. You can help us change this  

 

We aim to work with professionals and volunteers to help us ensure people affected by cancer in Tameside and Glossop have access to relevant information and ensure they are aware of the support available to them.

You can help by simply agreeing to meet and discuss having a display of relevant materials in a suitable area on your ward, clinic or place of work.

​

If you would like to be a little more involved you can help by directing enquires for assistance support or information to the Macmillan Information and support team and by signposting to the unit. There are a large range of opportunities including training and support offers from Macmillan Cancer Support, Cancer Research UK and the Macmillan Information and Support Service. We want to ensure the offer is right for you as little or as much as you feel comfortable with.
