The NHS at 70: Thank you from Lynda Thomas

As we mark the 70th anniversary of the NHS I want to say a huge thank you for all the amazing work you do. I am so proud to be leading an organisation with such passionate, expert and hard-working individuals. Meeting with you, hearing your stories, experiences and opinions truly inspires me. I know Macmillan needs to be there for you too, to ensure you can help support people with cancer when they need it, in the best way for them.

We will continue to influence and work with key decision makers, partners and service providers on vital issues such as workforce capacity, end-of-life care, system integration, and understanding the changing needs of people with cancer. I want Macmillan to play its role to help ensure the NHS is protected and fit for the future so that everyone diagnosed with cancer gets the care and support they need.
